fluctuating mains supply.

Voltage fluctuations can have a serious and detrimental effect on motors and compressors, reducing or eliminating their effective cooling output, and, very commonly, causing damage to the compressor. The Sollatek Freo Stabilised Protector (FSP)* is an intelligent stabiliser plus protector combined. The FSP provides clean, regulated AC power supply that can be incorporated in any refrigeration appliance. The FSP builds on the protection provided by the FreoGuard by ensuring the mains supply is corrected to good working limits and in the event the drop or rise in voltage is too extreme and beyond the range of the FSP, it will disconnect the power and provide the intelligent start up delay.

The FSP is available in 2 different ranges, FSPW and FSPL. T he FSPW provides the widest range of voltage stabilisation and the FSPL has the lowest range.The lowest range is for areas of low voltage problems whilst the FSPW is for areas of severe and chronic voltage fluctuations. Hundreds of thousands of Sollatek protectors are now in use in fridges, freezers, bottle coolers and air-conditioners worldwide and have proved to be extremely effective economically in reducing maintenance costs and down time. In some countries the mains voltage is low or fluctuating most of the time. In these situations the compressor is certain to suffer damage in time and furthermore its cooling function is severely handicapped. In these situations the only solution is to fit a Sollatek FSP. In these countries the Sollatek FSP can be depended on to greatly improve compressor reliability, in otherwise unreliable mains environments.
